about

THE STORY BEHIND THIS COLLECTION:
Gathered together for the first time are long-unreleased original 1966 recordings by the three Southern California rock/pop combos whom famed NBC-TV producer Hubbell Benson personally chose to audition for a proposed television series: The Four Martians, The Jolly Green Giants and The Foreign Agents!

OKAY, THE REAL STORY:
New York '60s-style singer-songwriter and longtime Monkees fan Michael Lynch decided to have some fun with an attempt to bring the episode 'Find The Monkees' to life by writing and recording a few songs in the style of what the episode's three seen-but-unheard fictional bands might have sounded like. Whether you've seen the episode or are simply a fan of '60s pop-rock, we're hoping you'll enjoy the sounds contained within, and that the catchy hook-laden and danceable tracks give you a pleasure similar to the kind that comes from spinning some classic 45s.
