about

COME WHAT MAY reviewed for 'Twist And Shake' by Beverly Paterson:
===================
It’s always a pleasure hearing anything created by Michael Lynch, and here on his latest and greatest offering, “Come What May,” he once again resurrects the groovy sights and sounds of the sixties by wielding his own special magic. A one man band, he excels in all areas, from singing to writing to performing the wares. Michael’s vocals are vibrant and immediate, dripping with a radio friendly tenor, while his hooks are sharp and snappy and his guitar playing resonates with depth and clarity. The title track of the disc, along with “Go To Her,” “Take Your Time” and “I Don’t Know Where” register as personal picks to click. By fusing sturdy garage rock trimmings with sparkling pop sensibilities, Michael pledges alliance to the likes of legendary acts like the Zombies, the Shadows of Knight, the New Colony Six and the Searchers, but does so in a fresh and industrious manner. The final cut on “Come What May” is a “secret surprise,” and quite different from the previous six songs, as it dips, curves and swerves with mesmerizing psychedelic patterns.
